Usher's Day Celebration

Warner Baptist Ushers celebrated their Annual Usher's Day on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the church. Reverend John Nicholas was the guest preacher. He was accompanied by one of his church's choirs and several members.
Reverend Nicholas used 1 Peter, Chapter 4:7-11 for his scripture. His text was "Serving for the Glory of God."

In his sermon, he said that Ushers should serve with joy. Also, have a happy face and be glad to do what they do. Of course, his message was for the whole congregation. I mean, he went into more detail about how all of us should be glad to be workers for the Lord.
The St John Choir rendered some beautiful selections. When they sang that song, "Jesus did not come off the cross", I could feel a kind of spirit just moving through my soul. Virtually, the whole congregation, appeared and sounded as though they had been moved in one way or another.
I don't know the name of the lady who led that song, but I do know she can really sing.

The Kitchen Ministry provided a delicious fried and baked chicken meal. Our kitchen ministry is very determined and hard working when it comes to our church family. As usual, the food was hot and tasty. Everyone appeared to enjoy their meal. We believe over 200 plates were prepared.
